If you want to deliver outstanding experiences,
this is the place to be.

Here at Bristol Dental School, we have a track record of excellence. We provide exceptional undergraduate and graduate teaching programmes and are renowned for delivering world-leading research. We have a big presence locally too. Working under the supervision of qualified clinical dentists, our undergraduate students provide free dental treatment for the whole community.

We’re proud of our roots – they date all the way back to 1906 when we first began training dental surgeons. Now we’re excited about the future. Not least because in September 2023, we moved to a brand new, purpose-built facility. A bigger space and more students will mean the creation of many new jobs, including dentists, hygienists, therapists, nurses, technicians and support staff.

If you’d love to be part of a team that’s passionate about delivering outstanding learning opportunities to diverse students as well as making a tangible contribution to local lives, there is no better place to bring your career. Be part of a welcoming and inclusive community and help us to train the next generation and shape the future of dentistry.

New Dental School location

Bristol Dental School officially opened its doors at 1 Trinity Quay on Avon Street in September 2023. Further information about the new space, opening events and opportunity to see inside can be found here: our new school site.

“We have had the liberty of having no compromises as we tailored our new home to our patients, staff and students. My favourite part of this project was knowing that we have enhanced our services so that our amazing dental family can continue to provide the highest standard of care to our patients of a wider demographic and dental needs, as well as having new and improved facilities to support our learning and practice for years to come.”

Sina Gilannejad, University of Bristol Dental Student Society President (2020/21)

“Bristol’s new Dental School is an enormously exciting prospect. The opportunity to craft a state-of-the-art learning and clinical environment from scratch is a once-in-a-generation opportunity and I feel tremendously privileged to have been involved in the project from the start.
